Taliban-like amendment to be introduced in Georgia by Martin Scott
Topic: Misogynist Assholes

When the Georgia State Legislatures go back in session on Monday, state House Member Martin Scott plans to introduce a constitutional amendment banning all abortions, saying that "fetuses have been slaughtered in huge numbers" in the Peach State.  The fact and the matter is this: what Martin Scott is introducing is something that only 3d century cavemen would be proud of.

The Human Life Amendment is the most barbaric piece of legislation ever thought of in our country's history, and it does nothing to protect women or their babies.  Instead, the Amendment makes it legal for the government (in this case, the Georgia state government) to slaughter innocent women during childbirth by the thousands.  I talked about the need for a billboard showing a live crying baby and the baby's dead mother being carried away in a casket with the caption: "This is what happens when women have no choice" on Feministing.  That kind of billboard I discussed on Jessica Valenti's blog is need in Atlanta, Georgia highlighting the millions of women slaughted annually during childbirth before Roe v. Wade because they were denied life-saving abortions.  Furthermore, the federal, state, and local governments; as well as nearly every hospital in the nation; blatantly covered up the hundreds of thousands of maternal deaths annually before Roe.

Georgians need to know that such proposed amendments are why we, the United States of America, have one of the worst women's rights record in the world today.  They also need to call their state House and Senate representative and tell him or her to oppose the Human Life Amendment at ALL COSTS.  And also, everyone across the country need to be involved and come to Atlanta, Georgia and speak out against this draconian, Taliban-like amendment.  We all know who the misogynist assholes are: Martin Scott, Sonny Perdue, and their ilk.

No thanks, Augusta Chronicle, I'll pass. Star Parker don't support black people.
Topic: News

As the people of the Central Savannah River Area (CSRA) may well know, the Augusta (GA) Chronicle has an op-ed piece of Star Parker every Tuesday.  And now, the CURE (Coalition on Urban Renewal and Education) leader will bring her anti-black, misogynistic, far-right propaganda to Augusta, Georgia on Tuesday, October 9 @ approximately 18:30 @ the Marriott Hotels & Suites, 2 Tenth Street in Augusta-Richmond County, GA.  What's worse?  How about the fact that she supports crisis pregnancy centers, which has blatantly profitted of the exploitation of women like herself.  On top of that, food from the Augusta Pregnancy Center banquet is $45 per plate, something only the richest of the rich an afford.  And that is just for starters.

After the Rodney King incident in 1992, instead of joining all of the black community in calling out the white cops who beat King, Parker sided with the rogue cops, who were eventually acquitted of all charges against them.  Also, Parker has an affiliation to one of the biggest domestic terrorist groups: Operation Save America (formerly known as Operation Rescue).  And it is just astonishing at the lies she spread about our point: "It is one thing to take care of babies, it is completely another to take care of the mothers" and how we got it all wrong.  Yes, Parker has experienced the welfare state herself, but no, none of her solutions has proven to work -- either for the black community or for America as a whole.  As a matter of fact, it is the far-left's policies that have greatly contributed to the dramatic decrease in abortions.  The far-right's policies only increase the abortion rate, as evident in 1992.  Bush 41's ban on abortion dramatically jacked up the abortion rate in '92 to its highest level since 1971.  So again, banning abortion does nothing to lower the abortion rate, it only drives women to take desperate measures -- in many cases killing themselves in order to get rid of a doomed pregnancy.  And her statement about lawlessness stunting economic growth.  Economic freedom is the problem with our society, not the solution.  We are so obsessed with big business, big corporations and economic freedom, that we are losing our rights to our big brother governments in the state and federal levels and we the consumers are being constantly shut out by the corporations.  Economic improvement policies are cosntantly making us invisible.  And the losers the most often are the ones you'd expect to lose out everytime we start becoming economic-oriented, instead of working on social improvement -- blacks, women, and gays.

So, on October 9, I will strongly advise all of you not to attend the charade that Parker has in Augusta, Georgia.  Bring me a person that really cares about the black community -- like Barack Obama or Carol Moseley Braun -- and I will make reservations to attend.  Star Parker isn't a person that care about the black community, she is just another pawn of the GOP -- a predominantly white male party.  So no thanks, real black people will pass on this banquet.

The No Fun League gets heavy-handed, goes after innocent cheerleaders
Topic: Sports

Last year, the American people got rid of a do-nothing Congress.

If you really want to see a do-nothing group, look no further than New York City -- home of the National Football League.

Appearantly, Roger Goodell has way too much time on his hands after he suspended Pacman Jones, Tank Johnson, and Mike Vick.  Now the tyrannical head of the NFL is going after the most well-behaved group of people, the very people who built the NFL into the powerhouse that it is today -- the cheerleaders.  Goodell says the cheerleaders' pregame warmups are "very distracting" and that the women are "influencing" the outcome of games by doing "lascivious" dances on the away team's sidelines.  Goodell's claim is nothing more than a strawman argument.  Anyone who watches the cheerleaders knows that the cheerleaders are there to get the home team involved in the game, not to distract the opposition as Goodell falsely claims.  And if anyone has ever been to a cold weather game, they know that the cheerleaders are covered from head to toe.  I know the true intentions of the 26 cheer squads, Goodell doesn't.  Unlike Kelli Finglass and the other 25 heads of cheerleading, Goodell's intentions are evil, cruel and are comparable to the Islamic extremist countries in the Middle East.  If Goodell could, he would ban cheerleaders from the NFL.  If he does that, expect the backlash the NFL would receive to be severe -- so much so -- that NASCAR would easily take away potentional NFL fans and the stock car league would also hammer the NFL in attendance and in TV ratings.

In the best interest of the fans, it would be wise if Goodell would just stick to keeping the players in line.  If distracting cheerleaders is what Goodell is worried about, then he should resign as the commish of the NFL immediately.

Person of the Week
Topic: Awards

The Person of the Week is an award doled out to the best person we can find.  This week, however, we have more than one (ten to be exact).  A half-dozen people and five groups are named Person of the Week.  We'll start with the groups.

The first Person of the Week Award will go to Planned Parenthood -- all 900+ affiliates.  This week, Planned Parenthood is taking the City of Aurora, Illinois to court for its illegal refusal to allow Planned Parenthood to relocate from Naperville to Aurora.  Give 'em hell Planned Parenthood!!!

The second Person of the Week award goes out to all of those, including my brother at South Carolina State and classic rock artist David Bowie, supporting the Jena (Louisiana) Six.  The case in that area shows what everyone in this country should know -- that we have two judicial systems -- one for the haves (Caucasian males) and one for the have nots (Caucasian women, LGBT people and people of color).

The third and fourth Person of the Week award goes out to both American naturists and Oakland, California.  The naturists get the award because they have successfully abolished anti-nudity laws in Raider Nation and are ready to do battle with every other place in this nation who dare resist our efforts in overturning anti-nudity laws.  Oakland gets the award for being the only place in this country with common sense by giving people their God-given right to be free and nude in public by abolishing all so-called "public indecency" laws that harm our nation and goes against everything our Constitution stands for.  Another piece of good news from Oakland: a 51-year-old male carpenter was acquitted of all charges, including public indecency.

And speaking of nude...that brings me to my next Person of the Week.  The fifth Person of the Week award goes out to the lactivists.  Like naturists, breast-feeding mothers are prosecuted and jailed for public indecency.  They sent a message to Applebee's by protesting outside of the Louisville, Kentucky chains.  Incidents such as the ones in Oakland and Louisville illustrate why all public indecency laws should be abolished.

The sixth Person of the Week goes out to a person named "higgism".  She posted a video on YouTube exposing the lies and slander of the anti-choice terrorists.  In the video, you can hear (and sometimes see) a man screaming anti-choice rants (surprise anyone?) and talking about how lipstick comes from aborted fetuses, which we all know is totally false.  Even though this video was posted in April or May, this video is getting more and more exposure now because of three of my favorite bloggers: Feministing head Jessica Valenti of New York City, Feministe head Jill, and Pandagon head Amanda Marcotte of Austin (although Amanda only has a sound clip of the "assembly" on her Podcast).

The seventh Person of the Week is Kyla Ebbert, and not because she looked great in her outfit, mind you.  Kyla gets the award for the same reason as Planned Parenthood got it -- for pointing out the injustices women STILL face in our society.  She was nearly kicked off a Southwest airline flight and, after her flight was over, was given a biblical-like lecture on decency (that word again) and proper dress.  This, from the same airline that in the progressive rock era, showed ads of scantily-clad women boarding one of their flights.

The eighth Person of the Week award goes out to Barry Manilow.  Manilow, like myself, wish that Mrs. Matt Hasselbeck would have resigned from the View.  Instead, she is still on the View, poisoning the show with her anti-American rants, alienating the target audience -- women.  As a result, he canceled the invitation.  In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if more men than women currently watch the View, since Manilow's friend, Rosie O'Donnell, was forced off the View.

The ninth and tenth Person of the Week awards go to Sally Fields and Kathy Griffin.  Sally Fields spoke out against the murder-for-oil in Baghdad and was not surprisingly, censored by Fox -- a pro-totalitarian channel that like Republicans, support a theocratic dictatorship.  Speaking of censorship, Griffin was also censored by E! and Fox because the thugs at the Catholic League objected to what she said.

And the 11th and final Person of the Week is Wendy Ellis.  She is proof that women always tell the truth, even those with sleazy jobs.  She implicated Sen. Vitter in another prostitution scandal.

Charles Norgle hands terrorists a win
Topic: News

Today, the Planned Parenthood clinic in Aurora, Illnois was denied the request to open its clinic.  The judge that delivered the ruling was Charles Norgle, a judge who would rather defend the right of terrorists than to defend the rights of women.

The opposition to the opening of the clinic was led by Joe and Eric Scheidler, the father-and-son team of terrorists, and co-founders of the Pro-Life Action Network, one of the many terrrorist organizations who target women's health clinics who perfrom abortions, just because they have far superior health coverage than any hospital in the world.  The duo brought more than 800 of their closest thugs into Aurora from Joliet and Chicago to protest the opening and also to attempt to bomb the proposed women's clinic.

People should know that Gemini Office Development LLC is a subsidiary of Planned Parenthood, just like Capstar Tx is a subsidiary of Clear Channel.  Meanwhile, the city of Aurora continues to press on in their persecution of women by illegally investigating Planned Parenthood.  Planned Parenthood broke no laws and they should quite frankly get every single dime of litigation from the city.  I don't care if Aurora goes bankrupt because they have to pay Planned Parenthood for litigation.

Here we are in 2007, and women are still being denied basic human rights.  This, folks, is percisely why conservatism is our enemy.  The conservatives are on the side of the Taliban and al-Qaida.  Liberals are on the side of the American people.  If we are to be free, then we must wipe conservatism right off the face of this Earth.

Anti-choice terrorists terrorizing Aurora, IL

Jessica Valenti has an excellent read up on that anti-choice terrorists that showed up from Joliet, IL and Chicago to protest and make at least one attempt to blow up a soon-to-be opened Planned Parenthood clinic.  This has been in the news since early August, almost 1.25 months before its official opening tommorrow.  The al-Qaida wannabes have been writing to suburban Chicago newspapers, voicing their opposition to tommorrow's scheduled Grand Opening of the Planned Parenthood clinic, which has far superior health care options than the Chicago area hospitals.

It is a worldwide disgrace at how the United States treat its women.  Seven out of every eight counties in this country has no women's clinics.  And that explains why there is a severe nursing shortage.  They can try to pin the blame on lawyers, but in actuality, it is the anti-choicers' fault.  All anti-choicers should be arrested and charged with treason, genocide (for the mass slaughtering of millions of women), and crimes against humanity.  This is one of the only ways we will get rid of these terrorists, who have been bombing abortion clinics for the last 25 years.  Also, arrest politicians and religious leaders who are aiding and abetting these pro-life terrorists.

Planned Parenthood gets defamed because they have contributed far more to the community than any other organization, non-profit or otherwise.  Unlike hospitals and CPCs, Planned Parenthood respects women and their rights.  On the other hand, the CPCs, hospitals, and the National Right to Life all blatantly disrespects women.  All of them also profit off the exploitation of women.

Kathy Griffin censored by Politically Correct Catholic group

An excellent read is up right now on Unorthodox Atheism.  I am an Unitarian Universalist, not an atheist, and I am very angry over the censoring of Kathy Griffin's speech.  If there was any chance I was gonna watch the primetime Emmys again starting in 2009, that is gone now.  I will permanently boycott the primetime and daytime Emmys.  Bigot Donohue wants to censor anything that goes against his belief, but anything that attacks non-Christians are prefectly acceptable.  This is a double standard, plain and simple.  It is time for atheists, Muslims, women, African-Americans, LGBT people and those with extra pounds to stand up against the Christian right assault on our freedoms.

And I love Dave's suggestion: watch something else.  Because that is what I will tell friends to do.  There's NFL Sunday Night Football (San Diego @ New England), Army Wives, Road to The White House 2008, Days of Our Lives marathon, Degrassi, and so much more.  So turn off the Emmys and watch something else!

Excellent topic on Feministing

On Monday, Jessica Valenti had this topic on her blog, describing how the misogynists spread nonsense about contraception and abortion.  It also had a shirt that read "Sex causes babies" and "Men don't get pregnant".  The "Sex" shirt is absolutely nothing short of totally false.  Sex doesn't cause babies, pregnancy do.  I'm glad that Pandagon's Amanda Marcotte came on and corrected these women-haters.

Also, a major thanks to Jessica for exposing the dirty truth about proknowledge.org.  The people promoting Proknowledge only exploits women for their own profit, just like the National Right to Life Committee.  They will spread lies about contraception and abortion and will also refer teenagers to CPCs (crisis pregnancy centers), another group of people that profits off the exploitation of women.

As I said on the Feministing blog, I will say now: anti-choicers don't care about women.  In fact, anti-choice terrorists treat women like property.  In fact, it is these kind of laws that has directly contributed to the deaths of approximately 225 million women during childbirth since July 4, 1776.  Women deserve better than childbirth.  Support abortion from conception to birth.

Neocons never take responsibility for wrongs

Anyone seen this defamatory letter to the editor by Christofascist Bobby Rawls of Grovetown, Georgia:

"With the liberal Democratic Party in Washington, it won’t be much longer before the liberal judges, the American Civil Liberties Union and the new Democratic government, along with a few other cults, will have outlawed God, Jesus Christ, the church and everything else the Bible stands for. Bill Clinton has already redefined the words “sin” and “sex.” Now the Democratic candidates would like everybody to be like him and just do it.

You see, 9-11 was being planned in the 1990s when your president, Bill Clinton, was in the White House. At the same time in 1993, in Mogadishu, Somalia - close to Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Iran - there were terrorists that our Special Forces were sent in to capture. Some were wounded and crippled. Some lost their lives, and some who lost their lives were mutilated, dragged up and down the streets in demonstration and celebration. Women and children lost their lives in this firefight. According to history, more than 500 Somalians were killed and more than 1,000 injured - not by our soldiers, but by terrorists.

The firefight only lasted a little over a day, then Clinton called it off. If you have been keeping up with the news this year, you will see and hear of the same terrorists doing the very same thing as in 1993. Because the Democratic president knew it would look bad on his presidency, Clinton cut and ran. Maybe if he had not been a draft-dodger and finished the job, it might not be as bad over there as it is today. It took him more than two weeks to visit the wounded at Walter Reed hospital. This is just one thing that caused our country to deteriorate while he was president.

So why is President Bush blamed for 9-11 when all this and much more was planned before Mr. Bush went to the White House? Put the blame where it belongs. ..."

See?  These crazy Christofascists never take responsiblity for any wrongdoing.  President Bush had at least 31 days to do something to prevent the Attack on America.  He sat in a classroom on Tuesday, September 11, 2001 and did absolutely nothing to prevent the Muslim extremists from slamming planes into the ground, World Trade Center and the Pentagon.  And about "removing God".  Liberals never once supported the removal of God from anything.  If anything, liberals wanted all Gods (Christian, Jewish and Allah) to get the same amount of limelight.  It is the neocons, however, who want a theocracy.  That is where we draw the line.  The neocons want a theocracy modeled after the Taliban's five year reign with such in Afghanistan.  So, in that sense, the neocons have embraced the Taliban.  The neocon agenda also includes rampant misogyny, blatant legalized discrimination against women, prosecuting and imprisoning (and even executing) women for having abortions, rampant male supremacy -- including executing women for adultery, shutting down women's schools and colleges such as Columbia, rampant racism, rampant resegregation of our k-12 schools and lifestyle cleansing via executing LGBT people.  And this is not the agenda of Iraq, Iran, Syria, or any other Middle East country.  This is the agenda of the United States Republican Party.

Oh and BTW, Bush was the draft-dodging chickenhawk.  Not to mention Dick Cheney, Charlie Daniels, Ted Nugent and many other neocons. Liberals are putting the blame where it belongs.  Now the neocons need to do the same.

A great thanks to MoveOn.org for ad

In case if you haven't noticed, MoveOn.org has a great ad out about Gen. Petraeus and how he was easily pressured by the warmongers in the White House into spinning the report to make it sound rosy.  It was posted in the New York Times, a newspaper that is hated by war criminials who twice condemned the NYT for putting the brakes on their Hitler-like ways.

Not surprisingly, Illena Ros-Lehtinen and Mitch McConnell bashed MoveOn and said that Dems should stop donating money to the organization.  I've a message to the Dems: ignore the GOP's demands, shut them up and shut them out.  In case if the GOP ends up having a bad case of amnesia, let me tell you all about the 2000 GOP primary here in South Carolina, 2002 gubernatorial election, the 2003 pre-war debates and 2004 presidential elections.  In the GOP presidental primary, the Bush clan attacked McCain's patriotism en route to a "win" in South Carolina.  Two years later, the attacks on the patriotism of Bush opponents went nationwide: with former Sen. Max Cleland (D-GA), the Dixie Chicks and former presidential candidate and current US Sen. John Kerry (D-MA) being on the receiveing end of these defamatory attacks.  Now, the shoe is on the other foot and the murdering warmongers don't like it.  This hypocritical behavior is very typical of those who never once served our country and dodged the draft in Vietnam.  On an episode of Larry King earlier this year, I was proud that an honourable former servicewoman, Randi Rhodes, called out a 24 year-old chickenhawk called Ben Furgeson and told him to "put up or shut up".

When will they learn?  When will the murderous warmongers learn that their rogue policies and their permanent occupation of Iraq are not gonna be tolerated by the world anymore?  Try as they may, but the warmongers are linked to Bush and the Dems need to drive that point home between now and 2008.
